Fair play, respect, and professionalism are at the heart of Industry Cup. These rules ensure everyone has a great experience.

Code of Conduct

Industry Cup is built on the principle of organised competition for working professionals. All participants - players, captains, referees, and spectators - are expected to conduct themselves with respect and professionalism.

Expected Behaviour

  • Treat all participants, officials, and venue staff with respect
  • Play fairly and within the rules
  • Accept referee decisions without dispute on the pitch
  • Represent your company professionally
  • Arrive on time for fixtures
  • Ensure all players are eligible and registered

Unacceptable Behaviour

  • Violence or physical altercations
  • Verbal abuse towards any participant or official
  • Discriminatory behaviour or language
  • Deliberate cheating or match-fixing
  • Persistent dissent or intimidation of referees
  • Damage to venue facilities

Disciplinary Process

Yellow Cards

Yellow cards are issued for minor offences including dissent, time-wasting, and tactical fouls.

5 yellow cards accumulated in a season = 1 match suspension

Red Cards

Red cards result in immediate dismissal and automatic suspension. Serious incidents are referred to the disciplinary committee.

Minimum 1 match suspension + disciplinary review for violent conduct

Appeals

Players may appeal disciplinary decisions within 48 hours. Appeals are reviewed by the disciplinary committee, whose decision is final.

Match Rules

5-a-side Format

  • • 5 players on pitch (4 minimum to start)
  • • 2 x 20 minute halves
  • • Rolling substitutions
  • • No offsides
  • • Indirect free kicks for all fouls
  • • Kick-ins instead of throw-ins

7-a-side Format

  • • 7 players on pitch (5 minimum to start)
  • • 2 x 25 minute halves
  • • Rolling substitutions
  • • No offsides in defensive half
  • • Standard free kick rules apply

Points System

  • Win: 3 points
  • Draw: 1 point
  • Loss: 0 points

Tiebreakers

  1. Goal difference
  2. Goals scored
  3. Head-to-head record
  4. Head-to-head goal difference

Player Eligibility

Industry Cup is for employees of companies within the relevant industry. All players must meet eligibility requirements to participate.

Requirements

  • • Currently employed by a registered company
  • • Employment verification (work email or HR letter)
  • • Registered on team roster before playing
  • • Not currently suspended

Verification Methods

  • • Work email confirmation (preferred)
  • • HR letter on company letterhead
  • • Manual verification by league admin

Warning: Fielding an ineligible player may result in forfeiture of the match and further disciplinary action against the team.

Forfeits & Walkovers

Teams are expected to fulfil all fixtures. Failure to do so affects the integrity of the competition.

  • Teams must provide at least 7 days notice to reschedule
  • Maximum 2 reschedules per season
  • Failure to show without notice = forfeit (3-0 loss)
  • Repeated forfeits may result in removal from the competition
